Alex van den Berg – Donnybrook Physiotherapist
Clinical Lead Physiotherapist
Bachelor of Science (Physiotherapy)
Originally from the Netherlands, Alex graduated with her Physiotherapy degree in 2013 and has since built a wealth of experience in private practice. She brings a special interest in post-surgical rehab, sports injury recovery, and supporting the health and mobility of older adults.
Alex’s passion for helping people move better has taken her across the world. After travelling much of Australia’s stunning coastline, she decided to make it her permanent home – where she now blends her love for the outdoors, sport, and physiotherapy.
A lifelong hockey player and avid tennis fan, Alex has even combined her profession with her passion, working as the physiotherapist for the Dutch Women’s Masters Hockey Team at the recent World Cup.
At Spine & Sports Physiotherapy, Alex enjoys empowering people to live life fully – without being held back by pain or injury. She thrives on building genuine connections with her patients and helping them feel stronger, more confident, and in control of their health.
In her current role as our Clinical Lead Physiotherapist, Alex plays a key part in mentoring our team and shaping high-quality care across our clinics. You’ll find her treating patients at Arthur Street everyday, except on Tuesdays which is her day off, and on Wednesdays where she will be in Donnybrook.
Alex is fluent in both English and Dutch and always happy to welcome patients from all backgrounds.
