Daniel Scott – Donnybrook Physiotherapist

Dan Scott Physiotherapist

Principal Physiotherapist
Master of Physiotherapy
Bachelor of Science (Exercise & Sports Science)

Daniel grew up in Bunbury, attending Withers Primary, Adam Road Primary, and Newton Moore Senior High School before heading to Perth to complete his education. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Exercise & Sports Science from ECU Joondalup, followed by a Master of Physiotherapy from Curtin University.

After graduating in 2009, Daniel worked in a prominent private practice in Perth before moving to the UK with his English partner (now wife). Over six years, he gained extensive experience in both the NHS and private sector – developing strong skills in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and sports injury rehab.

In 2017, Daniel returned home to Bunbury to establish Spine & Sports Physiotherapy. Since then, he’s built a passionate and highly skilled team focused on helping the local community move better and feel stronger.

Daniel has worked with athletes across many sports – including hockey, soccer, AFL and basketball – and has national-level experience with WA Hockey teams. He also travelled internationally as team physiotherapist for the Australian Women’s Indoor Hockey Team at a tournament in Malaysia in 2010.

More recently, Daniel represented Australia as a player at the 2024 Masters Hockey World Cup in South Africa with the Australian +35 Men’s Hockey Team. This personal experience gives him a strong appreciation of the needs and challenges faced by older athletes, both in training and in recovery.

Daniel’s clinical approach combines hands-on therapy, spinal manipulation, acupuncture, and tailored rehab exercises – helping patients recover quickly and reduce the risk of future injury. While his main focus is now on managing and mentoring his growing team, he still enjoys treating long-time patients.

You’ll find Daniel at our Arthur Street Practice on Monday, Thursday and Fridays, and our Donnybrook Practice on Tuesdays.
