Leila Van Zuydam – Physiotherapist

Bachelor of Science (Physiotherapy)

Associates of Science Degree (Major Food and Nutrition)

Associate of Arts Degree (General Education)

Leila (“LEE-LA”) grew up in Harare, Zimbabwe.  Her desire to explore and learn took her to the USA where she fast tracked and double majored gaining her two Associates Degrees.

While she enjoyed her major of Food and Nutrition, Leila wanted to be more involved with her patients’ care and have a more positive impact on their treatment program.  So, she decided to explore a new country and change major to study Physiotherapy in Hungary.  She has now found her passion and is excited to treat patients here at Spine and Sports Physiotherapy.  Leila takes great interest in her patients and looks forward to being a part of their journey to recovery and living pain free.

Leila has a keen interest in Clinical Pilates and has trained with the Australian Physiotherapy & Pilates Institute (APPI) and completed advanced training in Ante and Post-Natal Pilates.

While not in the clinic Leila leads an active lifestyle, has a love for baking and photography, and exploring with friends and family.

Leila looks forward to meeting you and helping you every step of the way on the road to recovery!

Leila works from our Arthur Street Practice on Monday afternoons, plus all day Wednesday and Friday. She also works at our Anytime Fitness Practice on Monday and Thursday mornings. Leila has Tuesdays off, and now does Management work/duties on Thursday afternoons (much to her patients’ annoyance that they cannot get in and see her).
